College Credits: Students From HP Earn Degrees, Make Dean's Lists

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — Spring semester this year has been an unprecedented one for students and educators at all institutions of higher education. While many commencement ceremonies have been cancelled or moved online in recent weeks, local students have continued to earn academic distinctions and degrees. Highland Park Patch recognizes their accomplishments below.

Talia Aloush, of Highland Park, who is majoring in social work, was named to the University of Iowa dean's list for the spring semester, which requires a minimum grade point average of 3.5.

Alex Bansbach, of Highland Park, was named to the dean's list at Southeast Missouri State University for academic achievement during the spring 2020 semester, which required earning at least a 3.75 grade point average, among other things.

Jennifer Berardi, of Highland Park, was named to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater dean's list for the spring 2020 semester, which requires a minimum grade point average of 3.4.

Sophia Beresheim, of Highland Park, was one of a record 351 student athletes at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, to be named to the Tiger Price Honor Roll by achieving at least a 3.4 grade point average for the spring 2020 semester.

Emily Bogndanski, of Highland Park, was named to the president's list at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, which includes undergraduate students ranked in the top 3 percent of their divisions.

Andrew Brooks, of Highland Park, who is majoring in marketing communication, was named to the dean's list at Emerson College in Boston for the spring 2020 semester, which requires a minimum grade point average of 3.7.

Katherine Bulzoni, of Highland Park, who recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications studies, was named to the University of Iowa dean's list for the spring semester, which requires a minimum grade point average of 3.5.

Maria Chusin, of Highland Park, who recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in art history, was named to the University of Iowa dean's list for the spring semester, which requires a grade point average of at least 3.5.

Tess Considine, of Highland Park, was named to the dean's list at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, for spring 2020. It required earning at least a 3.5 grade point average.

Ruby Crawford, of Highland Park, was named to the president's list at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, which includes undergraduate students ranked in the top 3 percent of their divisions.

Keana Davis, of Highland Park, received a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of Iowa.

Andrew Derdena, of Highland Park, who is majoring in creative writing, was named to the Bradley University dean's list for spring 2020, which requires earning a grade point average of at least 3.5.

Natalie Dorman, of Highland Park, was named to the dean's list at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, which includes all students ranked in the top 20 percent of undergraduates.
