Cop On A Rooftop: Where To Find Officers In Highland Park
Friday's "stakeout" at a Milwaukee Avenue Dunkin Donuts benefits local Special Olympic athletes.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — Officers from the Highland Park Police Department will be staking out the Dunkin' Donuts at Skokie Valley Road and Park Avenue Friday morning. It's part of the 16th annual Cop on a Rooftop event, which raises money for the Law Enforcement Torch Run and benefits Special Olympics Illinois.
Local officers can be spotted from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dunkin' Donuts at 1990 Skokie Valley Rd. Each visitor to a Cop on Top location on May 18 that makes a donation to the Torch Run will receive a coupon for a free donut.
Donors who give $10 or more will receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug and a coupon for a free coffee. Events will be taking place across Illinois. There is a $720,000 statewide fundraising goal this year and nearly 300 participating locations.
