Council Recognizes Outgoing Board and Commission Members
Mayor praises "significant impact" made by seven.

The Highland Park City Council recognized seven individuals during the meeting Monday night, all of whom were outgoing members of city boards and commissions in 2014.
The city recognized Mimi Brin (Board of Fire and Police Commissioners), Stephen Kant and Deborah Zionts (Housing Commission), Dawn LoCascio (Human Relations Commission), Dr. Thomas Sultan (Natural Resources Commission), James S. Rosenbaum (Transportation Commission) and David Hoffman (Zoning Board of Appeals).
All members of the city’s 18 boards and commissions are unpaid and serve as advisers to the City Council and Mayor.

“Each of these individuals has made a significant impact on the quality of life in our community,” said Highland Park Mayor Nancy R. Rotering. “Being on a board, commission or task force requires a significant personal commitment. We are thankful for their time, guidance and expertise.”
