D112 Gets New Chief Technology Officer
John Petzke left Oswego's District 308 and officially started with D112 Monday.

North Shore School District 112 announced Monday that it has appointed a new Chief Technology Officer.
Joe Petzke, who previously served as the Executive Director of Technology for Oswego Community Unit School District 308, officially took over the newly created role on July 2.
“We are pleased to welcome John to North Shore School District 112,” said Superintendent of Schools David L. Behlow in a press statement. “He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, both in the areas of using technology to drive curricular and instructional improvement, and in managing and improving information systems. He will provide cutting‐edge leadership that will contribute to the successful infusion of educational technology into all school libraries, classrooms and offices.”

Petzke's position combines the duties of two previous full‐time positions: the Director of Information and Media Services, and the Learning Coordinator for Technology Integration, according D112.

Petzke hails from Aurora and has recieved a doctoral degree in educational leadership from Aurora University, as well as a Master's degree in educational administration from North Central College.
