Deerfield Man Charged With DUI After Hitting Light Pole: Police

DUI Arrest
Michael Anderson, 29, of the 1000 block of Knollwood Street, Deerfield was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use, hit and run and driving without insurance after police responded at 3:52 a.m. Nov. 9 to a driving complaint of a pick-up that had struck a light pole in the 800 block of Half Day Road. Anderson was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of Dec. 19.
Retail Theft
An unknown subject entered the liquor department of a business in the 1800 block of Green Bay Road and took multiple bottles of liquor at about 4:30 p.m. Nov. 7 without paying.

Home Burglary
Unknown suspects entered a residence in the 300 block of Vine Avenue between 6:45 and 11 p.m. Nov. 7. Missing from the house was a purse and a cell phone. The cell phone was later found by a resident down the street and returned while officers were at the scene.
