District 112 Seeks Interim Board Member to Replace Jacqueline Denham

Vacant seat on school board to be filled on interim basis after incumbent resigned months before election.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL - The North Shore School District 112 board of education is looking to fill the seat left vacant by Jacqueline Denham on an interim basis until the regularly scheduled election is held in April. Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter by Jan. 10, 2017 to Superintendent Dr. Michael Bregy via email at mbregy@nssd112.org or by mail to 1936 Green Bay Rd., Highland Park, Illinois 60035.

Denham resigned from the board on Dec. 13, four months before her seat was to be up for election. The district seeks someone to serve in the role on an interim basis. The appointment will be made by a majority vote of the current board.

According to a district news release, board members are “charged with a host of obligations, including, but not limited to, representing the voice of the community in educational matters, adopting a balanced annual budget, ensuring long term financial viability, negotiating District contracts and approving curriculum practices and programs.”
