Dog Saved by Deerfield Man Wins Big
Louise was the top-rated female German Shepherd at the International Kennel Club Dog Show.

Louise, the German Shepherd rescued by Deerfield resident Stu Unger in October, won first in her class, making her the top-rated female German Shepherd at International Kennel Club Dog Show at Chicago’s McCormick Place held last weekend.
“The thing that amazes me is her temperament, she’s very gregarious, people like to come up and pet her,” Unger told the Deerfield Review.
The Review tells the story of the dog who was saved by Unger, who gave the four-year-old a permanent home after she was kept outside by her previous owner in central Wisconsin.
