DOWNTOWN HIGHLAND PARK ALLIANCE TO LAUNCH NEW MARKETING CAMPAIGN IN PARTNERSHIP WITH RIPPLE PUBLIC RELATIONS
HIGHLAND PARK, IL (February 21, 2014) – The Downtown Highland Park Alliance (the Alliance) is pleased to announced it has partnered with Highland Park-based Ripple Public Relations to embark on a marketing campaign to promote businesses within the Central Business District, support business retention and attract new businesses to Downtown Highland Park.
The Alliance Board interviewed several candidates and viewed presentations from six marketing professionals to hear their suggestions. “We are excited to team up with Ripple Public Relations and begin implementing their recommendations,” says Hal Emalfarb, Co-Chairman, along with Larry Hillman, of the Downtown Highland Park Alliance Board.

The marketing initiative will center on a dynamic brand that will strengthen the Central Business District’s core and connect to the Highland Park community and beyond. Highland Park’s Central Business District will be positioned as a sustainable destination to experience, explore, retreat, dine and shop. The new campaign will be designed excite residents, businesses and visitors and deepen their loyalty.

“We are an active presence in the Highland Park community and are thrilled to be representing and aligning with the Downtown Highland Park Alliance,” says Ilyse Strongin-Bombicino, partner at Ripple Public Relations. “We plan to hit the ground running, and look forward to unveiling the new brand for Highland Park’s Central Business District.”

The Downtown Highland Park Alliance is a public-private partnership of the Highland Park CBD Property Owners Association and the City of Highland Park. The Alliance was founded in 2008 to enhance the economic vitality of Downtown Highland Park and encourage local spending, investment, tourism, and a sense of community through promotion of the Central Business District. The operations and promotions of the Alliance are funded by a Special Service Area property tax.
