A gunman robbed the two seniors outside a downtown restaurant last Saturday, police confirmed.

HIGHWOOD, IL — Two elderly women were robbed at gunpoint walking from a downtown Highwood restaurant last weekend. City officials Thursday confirmed an armed robbery was reported Saturday.
A gunman reportedly walked up to the two women, aged 83 and 85 years old, brandished a gun and grabbed a purse as the two walked back to their car in the early evening.
The suspect was described as a 6-foot, 2-inches tall black man with a dark hat and a dark jacket, according to City Manager Scott Coren.
