Electronic Equipment Stolen From Lakefront Home: HP Blotter
Incidents and arrests reported by the Highland Park Police Department for the week of July 8 to July 14.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park and Highwood police departments and public records as a record of incidents reported to the police and of those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.
INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
- Graffiti was discovered on a crosswalk sign at the intersection of North Avenue and Trail Way around 8 a.m. on July 8.
- Graffiti was discovered on a stop sign at the intersection of North Avenue and Arlington Avenue around 7 p.m. on July 8. No suspects were identified in either case.
THEFTS

- Someone stole various pieces of commercial electronic equipment from a home in the 100 block of South Deere Park Drive at some time prior to 10:15 a.m. on July 11.
- Someone stole $640 in cash from an unattended purse at some time prior to 5:30 p.m. on July 11. No suspects had been identified at the time of the report.
- Someone stole a wallet from a locked locker in the 700 block of Central Avenue prior to 7:30 p.m. on July 11. No suspects had been identified at the time of the report.
- Someone stole a box of diapers and other miscellaneous unknown items from an unspecified location in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road prior to 1:30 p.m. on July 12.

ARRESTS
Trayvon Johnson, 18, of the 800 block of Porter Street, Waukegan, was arrested at 11:11 p.m. on July 12 and charged with theft when police responded to a call regarding a theft in the 200 block of St. John’s Avenue.
