Celebrate biking and walking in Highland Park

Come celebrate biking and walking in your community

Join us at Sunset Woods Park on Tuesday, July 19

Do you have a love for biking, walking and hopping on Metra trains? Do you want to see our communities make big strides in environmental sustainability? You’re not alone. At Active Transportation Alliance, we celebrate your enthusiasm for all things active, healthy and sustainable.

That’s why we request your presence at the Active Transportation Alliance Social in Highland Park on Tuesday, July 19.  Join us 7-8:30 p.m. at Sunset Woods Park. Get to know local Active Trans members, town officials, environmentalists and other active transportation devotees.

We’ll be sharing local initiatives to create streets that enable safe access for all users: pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities. We will focus on these efforts in Highland Park as well as regional efforts by surrounding villages, including Northbrook, Deerfield and Glencoe. An update will be provided on the progress of completing the Skokie Valley Trail in Cook County.
