Weaver's World/Robots; Drawings and Mixed Media

Kathy Weaver’s solo show

"Weaver's World/Robots:Drawings and Mixed Media will be in the The Art Center’s 1600 square foot main gallery and will consist of work from the past 10 years. Weaver’s art is about the intersection between technology and art, artificial intelligence and robotics and is a continuing inquiry about what makes humans human, as seen through the metaphor of the robot.

One of the central questions is the role of progress and how technology addresses how we are using it. Airbrushed textiles, paintings, drawings and sculpture, some of which move and speak will be exhibited. During the course of the exhibit the artist will be delivering a gallery talk.
