Noted book discussion leader Judy Levin leads a discussion of Siobhan Fallon's You Know When The Men Are Gone, the 2012 official selection for the One Book One Highland Park community read program.
Fallon's collection of interconnected short stories are tales of life on a contemporary American military base, and take readers inside the homes, marriages, and families of the segment of society that deals with the consequences of wars. The stories were inspired by her own experiences as an army wife living at Fort Hood, TX, while her husband was deployed to Iraq for two tours of duty.
