Felon Caught With Firearm During Traffic Stop: Cops

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

RETAIL THEFT

Marianne Heinze, 58, of the 100 block of Wellington Circle, Gurnee, was arrested and charged with retail theft after a Aug. 22 complaint from an employee at a business in the 1800 block of Second Street.

Heinze was released on bail, and her court date is Sept. 14.

UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON

Michael D. Samuels, 28, of the 3400 block of 12th Place, Chicago, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a street gang member after an Aug. 27 traffic stop in the 1600 block of Deerfield Road.
