Bradley Swanson will pay fee of almost $5,000.

Former Highland Park High School Principal Bradley Swanson must pay a $4,900 fee, attend classes and listen to a panel discussion with people whose lives have been affected by drunken driving after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor DUI charge on Friday.

The Chicago Tribune reports Swanson, who is now assistant superintendent of human resources in Glenbrook High School District 225, will also be on court supervision for a year.

When arrested early on Thanksgiving Day near his Highland Park home, Swanson allegedly registered a blood-alcohol level of .143.
