Gift Shop to Leave Highland Park Theatre Building

Royal Appointments opts to leave Central Avenue before city sells property.

Royal Appointments gift shop will close shop at the Highland Park Theatre building this month, two years after relocating there from Northbrook.

“I would probably only have until winter time to stay here, and I really don’t want to close at winter time,” owner Debra Brody told the Highland Park News, referring to the city’s plans to sell the building for redevelopment purposes.

“I felt my last hurrah should be the (Highland Park) Sidewalk Sale, where I could have friends, clients and customers drop by and say goodbye,” Brody said.
