Highland Park Blotter: Theft, Aggravated DUI, Speeding

Driving complaint leads to DUI arrest.

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

SPEEDING 35+ OVER THE LIMIT

Samone Robinson, 27, Chicago was arrested and charged with speeding 35+ mph over the limit, no valid drivers license and possession of cannabis after being stopped by police in the 1800 block of Skokie Valley Road at 1:16 a.m. on March 11.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

William Pineda, 18, Waukegan was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, speeding, possession of cannabis, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped by police near Park Avenue West and Skokie Valley Road at 12:48 a.m. on March 14. Pineda was released on a personal recognizance bond. During the same incident, Javier Cerda, 19, of the 1800 block of Chestnut, Waukegan was cited administratively for possession of cannabis.

AGGRAVATED DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Christina Schultz-Principato, 25, of the 1900 block of Green Bay Road, Highland Park was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence, driving under the influence and driving while license revoked for DUI after police responded to a driving complaint in near Green Bay Road and Laurel Avenue at 7:32 p.m. on March 14.

NO VALID DRIVERS LICENSE

Mauricio Solano-Rios, 23, of the 900 block of Central Avenue, Highland Park was arrested and charged with no valid drivers license, uninsured motor vehicle, impeding traffic and improper lane usage after being stopped by police near Central Avenue and Skokie Valley Road at 10:546m p.m. on March 14.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Alecia Lopez, 19, Milwaukee, Wisc. was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and speeding after being stopped by police near Park Avenue West and Skokie Valley Road at 2:12 a.m. on March 15.

THEFT OF LOST OR MISLAID PROPERTY

A wallet was lost sometime between 4-4:30 p.m. on March 8 in the 1800 block of Green Bay Road. Credit cards in the wallet were later attempted to be used in the early morning hours to make online purchases in California and Wyoming, which both transactions were declined.

THEFT

A wallet was accidentally left in a shopping basket at a business in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road at 11:13 p.m. on March 13. Upon return to the store, the wallet was not located. The wallet contained cash, credit cards and other identification.
