Highland Park Community Foundation Accepting Grant Applications Up to July 15, 2017

The Highland Park Community Foundation, now in its 25 year of serving the Highland Park/Highwood communities, is accepting grant applications now up to July 15, 2017 from qualified organizations.

The Highland Park Community Foundation provides grants to support new and innovative programs as well as scholarships to cultural, educational and social service agencies serving the Highland Park/Highwood community.

The HPCF accepts grant proposals from agencies and organizations which have the following characteristics: IRS 501(c) (3) non-profit status (current) and the population served must be at least 51% Highland Park/Highwood residents to be considered. The Board will not consider requests for endowments, capital projects or fundraising events. “In 2016 the Highland Park Community Foundation surpassed the previous year’s grants, awarding a total of $169,500 to 31 non-profit community agencies and organizations, we look forward to continuing our support of the numerous worthy organizations that provide social, educational and arts programs in our community, said Nancy Mills, Vice Chairman of the Highland Park Community Foundation ”

The Highland Park Community Foundation was created in 1992 with its avowed purpose to “meet the unmet needs” of the community -- needs that are not met by governmental or other sources.

About Highland Park Community Foundation: The Highland Park Community Foundation was established in 1992 at the request of the City of Highland Park to build and maintain a permanent endowment fund. The fund serves to support and expand the services of social service, cultural, and educational agencies in Highland Park and Highwood. It is also used to nurture the early stages of new and innovative programs. The Foundation’s avowed purpose is to “meet the unmet needs” of the community – needs that are not met by governmental or other sources.
