Highland Park Crime: DUI Drivers Found At Accident Scenes

Highland Park police reports: April 3 - April 10

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department as a record of police activity. An arrest is not an indication of guilt. Criminal charges represent merely accusations. All defendants are innocent unless their guilt is established by a court of law.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Carl E. Perry, 64, of the 10000 block of South Hale Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and illegal transportation of alcohol after police observed a vehicle off the roadway in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road at 1:19 a.m. on April 4.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Eric I. Fosse, 55, of the 1100 block of North Skokie Highway in Lake Bluff was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended after police responded to a traffic accident near the intersection of Skokie Valley Road and Lake Cook Road at 2:37 p.m. on April 7.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Orlando Arroyo-Alcaraz, 33, of the 1100 block of Grand Avenue in Waukegan, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and speeding after police responded to a traffic accident in the 3000 block of Skokie Valley Road at 3:29 a.m. on April 8, 2017.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Ahmmad Azzam Tbakhi, 22, of the 900 block of South Darla Court in Waukegan, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, speeding, failure to provide valid insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after police responded to a traffic accident near the intersection of Half Day Road and Tennyson Lane at 4:09 p.m. on April 9.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On April 3rd it was reported that someone damaged a bathroom stall with a black marker in a facility located in the 1600 block of Old Deerfield Road. The bathroom stall was last noticed undamaged on March 31st at 6:00pm.

BURGLARY

On April 4th it was reported that someone had stolen a pair of bicycle wheels from a residential garage located in the 700 block of Laurel Avenue. The incident was believed to have occurred within the past month.

SHOPLIFTING

On April 5th it was reported that an unidentified woman and man entered a business located in the 1500 block of Clavey Road and left with merchandise that was not paid for at approximately 10:15pm.
