Highland Park Crime: Fake ID Buys Car, Woman Arrested For Texting And Driving Without License

Highland Park police reports: Feb. 27-March 6

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following information comes from the Highland Park Police Department. It is a record of police activity, and an arrest is not an indication of guilt. Criminal charges can be dropped or reduced and all defendants are innocent until and unless their guilt is established by a court.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

On Feb. 28 at 5:42 p.m. it was reported that a man bought a car from a business located in the 400 block of Skokie Valley Road using a fake social security number. The man was later taken into custody by the Matteson Police Department and the vehicle was recovered. The incident is still under investigation.

THEFT

On Feb. 27 it was reported that a bicycle was stole from a facility located in the 700 block of Dean Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. that day.

On March 2, shortly before 8:30 a.m., someone reportedly stole a package from a residence located in the 1900 block of Beverly Place between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

On March 2 at 4:25 p.m. it was reported that someone stole a magnetic sign off a vehicle while parked outside a business located in the 2800 block of Twin Oaks Drive between 4:00 p.m. and 4:05 p.m. on March 2nd.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

Shortly after 12:30 p.m. on March 1, someone was reported to have entered a residence located in the 900 block of Pleasant Avenue and stolen multiple items between Jan. 29 and March 1.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

Shortly before 5:00 p.m. on March 4, it was discovered that someone damaged public property with spray paint in the 2600 block of St. Johns Avenue.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

On Feb. 27 at 5:36 p.m. Elizabeth Feder, 58, of the 1200 block of Westbury Court, Manitowoc, Wisconsin was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and texting while driving after police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Laurel Avenue.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

On Feb. 28 at 1:16 a.m. Henry Garcia, 23, of the 500 block South Lincoln Street, Waukegan was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, disobeying a traffic control device and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after police responded to a traffic accident near the intersection of Skokie Valley Road and Half Day Road.

THEFT

On Feb. 28 at 11:26 a.m. Terrence Cole, 24, of the 7100 block of South Wolcott Avenue, Chicago was arrested and charged with theft from a residence in the 400 block of Park Avenue after police conducted an investigation.

AGGRAVATED DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

On March 2 at 1:19 a.m. Rosalio Hernandez-Nunez, 44, of the 2600 block Logan Street, Highland Park was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence, aggravated obstructing a peace officer, driving while license suspended and illegal transportation of alcohol after police responded to a traffic complaint in the 3100 block of Trail Way.

BURGLARY

On March 2 at 5:34 p.m. Patience J. Cedzidlo, 32, of the 25000 block of West Highpoint Road, Ingleside was arrested and charged with burglary and retail theft after police responded to a complaint in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

On March 5 at 1:20 a.m. Lucky J. Neely, 26, of the 7200 block North Western Avenue, Chicago was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, no valid driver’s license, improper lane usage, endangering the health of a child and failure to signal when required after police conducted a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road.
