Highland Park Native Named Among '40 Under 40' Attorneys To Watch
Rob Kohen's practice focuses on personal injury, wrongful death, negligence and malpractice cases.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — Law Bulletin Media selected a Highland Park native as one of top young lawyers in Illinois earlier this month.
Rob Kohen, 36, an attorney at the Chicago-based law firm Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard for the past seven years, is a member of the class of 2003 at Highland Park High School.
Now he has also been named a member of the class of 2021 of the "40 Under Forty" lawyers to watch in Illinois by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin.

“Being a part of this highly accomplished group of lawyers is truly one of the highlights of my career thus far," Kohen said in a statement.

Kohen's practice at Salvi focuses on cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, construction negligence, medical malpractice and traffic accidents, according to the firm.
Last year, he obtained a $20.5 million settlement for the family of a man who was paralyzed, and later died, as a result of a tractor-trailer crashing into his house after its driver fell asleep behind the wheel. He also secured a $15 million settlement for a motorcyclist who lost a leg in a car crash.
Kohen, a Chicago-Kent College of Law graduate, is an accomplished distance runner in his spare time, according to his firm. He has completed two marathons, two Ironman marathons, three USA Age Group National Championships and six Ironman 70.3 races, which are also known as Half Ironmans.
A Chicago attorney who has opposed Kohen in the courtroom told the Chicago Daily Law Bulletinthat Kohen fights for his clients aggressively while maintain a professional and friendly demeanor.
"Rob is masterful at his job," the attorney told the publication. "He understands and cuts right to the core of the issues and the varying angles of those issues, addressing everything that he needs to in discovery with precision."
Prior to being included on the 40 under 40 list, Kohen has previously been recognized in the 2021 Edition of "Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch" and has been named a "Rising Star" by Illinois Super Lawyers, according to the firm. Law Bulletin Media has also recognized him as an "Emerging Lawyer," designating him among the top 2 percent of Illinois lawyers who have practiced for less than a decade or are under the age of 40.
