Highland Park Patch Honors Graduating Seniors In Class Of 2020
This is the third installment of our salute to the graduating class of 2020 in Highland Park.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — Patch is sharing the achievements of local high school graduates by putting them in the spotlight this month. Due to the coronavirus, in-person classroom teaching and extracurricular gatherings have been canceled for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year in Illinois.
We know these wonderful seniors are missing out on some of the last moments of the school year, and we hope to give the community a way to share their pride in our class of 2020 high school graduates.

Jake Silvers, Rochelle Zell Jewish High School
Silvers intends to study sports medicine at Denison University in Granville, Ohio, according to his family.

Benjamen Abelson, Highland Park High School
Abelson, who plans to attend Syracuse University in the fall, played hockey at HPHS, according to his family.

Message from family: "We are extremely proud of you Ben! We are so excited for your next few years at Syracuse! We love you tons and tons!"
Jacqueline Levenson, Highland Park High School
Levenson, who ran cross-country and track in high school, plans to attend the Ohio State University pursue a major in exercise science, according to her family.

Message from family: "We are so proud of you Jacqueline for all of your hard work and growing into a lovely young lady."
Giulio Pettenati, Highland Park High School
Pettenati, who plans to study environmental science at Purdue University, played soccer at HPHS and is co-president of the students board of North Suburban Legal Aid, according to his family.
Message from family: "We are very proud of you and excited about your bright future! Mom and Dad"
Jonathan Quilet, Highland Park High School
Quilet, a Schuler scholar and a member of the HPHS wrestling tea, plans to study engineering at Lehigh University, according to his family.
Message from family: "We are so proud and happy for you. We love you very much. Congratulations ! God bless you!"
Sammie Levine, Highland Park High School
Levine, who plans to attend Miami University in the fall, competed with Team USA as a synchronized skater during high school and intends to continue skating in college, according to her family.

Jane Frank, Highland Park High School
Frank plans to attend the University of Illinois in the fall, according to her family.

Tyler Kasemir, Highland Park High School
Kasemir, who intends to study business at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, played goalie for four years on the HPHS hockey team, according to his family.
Message from family: "We are very proud of him and all that he has accomplished."
Kylie Gimbel, Highland Park High School
Gimbel plans to attend Auburn University in Alabama, according to her family.
Message from family: "Congrats Kylie! We couldn’t be more proud of you and we’re so excited to see what amazing things you’ll accomplish in the future. War Eagle! Love Mom, Dad, TJ and Cooper"
Lizzie Insoft, Highland Park High School
Insoft, who intends to study politics and economics at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, was a member of HPHS's Student Senate and Model UN team and the co-president Model UN, Student Senate, co-president of the North Shore chapter of the political organization Coalition Z, according to her family.

Danielle Arend, Highland Park High School
Arend, who plans to attend Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, is an accomplished painter who completed a mural in a high school hallway, according to her family.

Natalie Rothman, Highland Park High School
Rothman plans to study speech and hearing sciences at the University of Maryland, according to her family.
Message from family: "Congrats Natalie we are so proud of all your hard work and can't wait to see what the future brings! Go Terps!"
Jack Sakanich, Highland Park High School
Sakanich, who plans to attend Carthage College in Kenosha, played volleyball for four years at HPHS, according to his family.
Message from family: "Congrats Jack! We are so proud of you and your achievements and the best is yet to come! We love you, Mom, Dad and Luke"
Evan Meyers, Highland Park High School
Meyers, who was a member of the DECA club and hockey team at HPHS, plans to study business at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, according to his family.
Message from family: "Congratulations Evan! We're so proud of you and we love you. Love and honor. Mom & Dad"
Nicole Brooke Segal, Highland Park High School
Segal, who intends to major in film studies at The Ohio State University, played three sports at HPHS and captained the Jammers and field hockey team, according to her family.
Message from family: "Niki we love you so much and are so proud of you. Congratulations . We hope you’ll always find yourself as happy and full of big crazy dreams as you are today. This definitely won’t be the last time we get to brag about you."
Lawson Levine, Highland Park High School
Levine plans to attend the College of Charleston as a sailing recruit and merit scholar, according to his family.

Lilli Arbetter, Highland Park High School
Arbetter, who is set to attend University of Michigan in the fall, was a member of the student board for the North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic and a member of the student advisory board and softball team at HPHS, according to her family.
Message from family: "We are SO proud of you and ALL you have accomplished at HPHS! We know you will shine at U of M and beyond!"
Rowan Kischer, Highland Park High School
Kischer, an avid environmentalist who plans to study languages at the University of Essex in Colchester, England, graduated with a seal of bi-literacy and was captain of the HPHS water polo team, according to his family.
