Our dedicated faculty provides high-quality instruction in a nurturing, disciplined, and inspiring environment. We strive to educate the mind, body, and soul—honoring the tradition of dance as an art form. At NSSD, we don’t just teach routines—we teach students how to dance. Deerfield resident Robert Tolchin's portrait "Behind Blue Eyes" is currently on display in "Portraits: Photography" the exhibit now on display at the Black Box Gallery. The conceptual photograph was one of only 24 artworks chosen by Juror Amy Arbus from hundreds submitted from around the country. Earlier this year Tolchin's work was on display at the Jackson Junge Gallery in Chicago and The Walker's Point Art Center in Milwaukee.Working from his studio in Highland Park, Robert Tolchin divides his time between commercial, portrait and fine art photography.
