Highland Park Resident Charged with Striking Police at Festival

Another Highland Park resident was charged with striking a parked car in the music festival's parking lot.

The following is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Battery

Roger Lowis (47) of the 2400 block of Highmoor Road, Highland Park was arrested and charged with battery after police responded to a dispute at a business in the 1800 block of Second Street, Highland Park. Lowis was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of September 10, 2014 in Park City.

Criminal damage to property

Stephen Perlmutter (56) of the 1700 block of Spruce Avenue, Highland Park was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property and reckless driving after striking a parked car and leaving the Ravinia parking lot. Perlmutter was released on a cash bond with a court date of September 24, 2014 in Park City.

Possession of cannabis

Brian Ross (28) of the 7600 block of Park Avenue, Skokie was cited administratively for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to an anonymous complaint of subjects in a car smoking cannabis in the 1300 block of Sunset Road Highland Park. Ross is expected in administrative court at City Hall, 1707 St. Johns Avenue, Highland Park on September 18, 2014.

Battery

Pamela Spadino (49) of the 700 block of Broadview Avenue, Highland Park was arrested and charged with 3 counts of battery after causing a disturbance in the pavilion area of Ravinia Festival with 2 security guards and later striking a police officer. Spadino was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of September 10, 2014 in Park City.
