Highland Park Shooting, Suspect Charged: UPDATE
30-year-old Andres Carillo-Escuvedo of Highland Park has been charged with four gun felonies.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL – A man was charged Saturday with multiple firearm felonies in connection with a shooting in Highland Park and is currently being held on $1 million bond.
Friday afternoon, a motorist arrived at the station and informed officers his car had just been shot on the 1800 block of Deerfield Road, although he was uninjured. Officers responded to the scene and located witnesses.
They notified officers in the area of the description, and soon after, the car was stopped by officers from the Deerfield Police Department. Two people were in the car, including the suspect. He was taken into custody without incident and two firearms were recovered.

Andres Carillo-Escuvedo, 30, of the 2500 block of Green Bay Road Highland Park, was charged Saturday with four gun-related felonies.
Investigators believe that the incident was not a random act and that the victim of the shooting was known by Carillo, according to the Highland Park Police Department.

His charges include aggravated discharge of a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon.
