Highland Park Sister Cities Foundation to Host Gourmet Gala
CHEFS FROM ALL THREE SISTER CITIES WILL JOIN LOCAL CELEBRITY CHEFS AT HIGHLAND PARK COUNTRY CLUB ON OCTOBER 15. SPACE IS LIMITED.

The Highland Park Sister Cities Foundation’s Gourmet Gala will take place on Oct. 15 at the Highland Park Country Club. This trienial event is the Foundation’s only fundraiser. Chefs from all three of Highland Park’s sister cities will participate: Ulf Henriksson, chef/owner of Vitea and Trio (which received the Five Star Diamond Award) will be representing Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Spyros Theodoridis, winner of Masterchef Italia and owner of 1495 Restaurant, will represent Modena, Italy; and Lea Grinberg, a member of the “Culinary Queens” will represent Yerucham, Israel. They will join local celebrity chefs Carlos Nieto of Nieto’s, Café Central, and Happ Inn, and Carlos Gaytan, Bravo Top Chef and chef/owner of Michelin star winning restaurant Mexique in Chicago.
In addition to experiencing a unique culinary event, those present will have the opportunity to bid on an array of fabulous silent and live auction items. Aaron Freeman will add to the fun as the auctioneer.
Local restaurateurs Isaac Nava and Eli Mizrahi are among the Gala’s sponsors.
