Highland Park Woman Dies in Des Plaines Car Crash

Highland Park resident Eva C. Lucero, 73 has been identified as the passenger who died when a car crashed into a condo building in Des Plaines Monday.

Lucero died from multiple injuries sustained in the accident, according to the Daily Herald.

The car swerved off the road just before 4 p.m. and hit a 5-story condo near River Road and River Street as the driver was getting a leg cramp, officials told the Daily Herald.

The driver and a woman riding in the back seat were taken to hospitals for treatment of injuries not considered life-threatening. No other injuries were reported.
