Homeowners hope to reel in buyer with a shark

Highland Park couple gets creative in busy housing market

Highland Park homeowners Kelly Haramis and Davis Schneiderman hope to catch a buyer with a shark. An inflatable shark costume, that is.

Haramis and Schneiderman wanted to make a splash in the overcrowded housing market--more than 461 homes are currently for sale in Highland Park, IL, according to Realtor.com.

When Haramis suggested the idea of taking pictures of their 3 bd/1.5 ba house with someone in costume, Haramis and Schneiderman’s teenage daughter jumped at the chance to don the inflatable costume.

You’ll find the shark modeling on the swing in front of the house; posing in the kitchen and bedroom; and even peeking from behind the shower curtain.

The 1,226 sq ft house––at 554 Broadview Ave.––is in the Ravinia neighborhood of Highland Park, and is within walking distance to Metra, Ravinia Festival, Rosewood Beach, Chicago Botanic Garden, elementary and middle schools, restaurants, shops, and more.
