How Much Snow Fell In Highland Park During Sudden Snowfall

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — A sudden snowstorm hit the Highland Park area Wednesday morning, bringing flurries anda small amount of accumulation.

As of 10 a.m. Wednesday morning, about an inch of snow fell in Highland Park, according to the National Weather Service.

During the storm, hundreds of flights were delayed at O'Hare and Midway airports.

Several Chicagoland suburbs also issued warnings to drivers and low visibility and cold temperatures while snow fell. Drivers were urged to give themselves extra time to reach their destinations due to potential hazards.

According to Accuweather, temperatures in Highland Park are expected to be in the high 20s on Wednesday and Thursday, with a slightly warmer day on Friday. Snow is expected to pick back up starting Friday and through the weekend.
