HP City purchase's 2 H.P. homes for expansion !

WOW, After the movie theater debacle, I would think that we would have better checks & balances for City purchase's in place !

With a lot of the neighbor's not being fully informed in Highland Park of what's really going on or being empathetic towards any city/county matter's . I applaud that finally an outstanding Highland Park resident that caught the city council in the cookie jar.

In times, where Lake County & Highland Park residents are in the top 20 city's across the USA in paying the highest property tax's, I haven't seen any measure's to decrease this situation in my 22 yrs of living here.

Growth is one thing ,but being a Realtor for 30 yrs I see every year family's needing to move out of Highland Park because it's high property tax's .

We need fiscal responsible adult's that know how to live within their means & learn how to save for a rainy day. This is what my father taught us growing up. I just wish the rest of the country would learn this with Highland Park.

It's bad enough we spend 60-70% of our property tax's on our school systems & you all see what that has gotten us !

Lowering our property tax's should be one of their main priorities not purchasing more properties.
