HP Council Approves Medical Marijuana Zoning
Much of area zoned is along U.S. Highway 41.
The majority of the area identified as potential site for a medical marijuana dispensary is along U.S. Highway 41 in Highland Park, the Highland Park News reports.
The Highland Park City Council unanimously approved the establishment of zoning rules that will allow a potential dispensary and cultivation center to be located in “certain highway commercial, light industry and health care districts.”
A buffer zone for any location abutting a residential area was requested by the council, however.
