I am supporting Mike Stroz for Park District Commissioner in Highland Park and I hope you will too!
I have seen firsthand Mike’s effective financial and management skills which we need to manage upcoming park projects with the current board. I know Mike as a hardworking, open minded, motivated individual who focuses on cooperative progress.
Mike helped broker last year’s successful compromise between the City and Park District that allowed use of the boating ramp in 2016. As a concerned member of the boating community, this was a huge relief. However, this will be an ongoing effort. The barge that protects the boat launch has deteriorated to the point where it may be beyond repair. As a community, we need the Park District to find a solution for our recreation use and also our safety since our fire department launches their boat from the ramp. If Mike is on the board he will be instrumental in finding a viable solution to save the launch ramp.

Mike has both the inter-personal and professional skills we need on the Board. He views open discussion and citizen participation as essential to effective government. Mike will be an independent voice for the good of Highland Park.
