HP Tea House Named one of Chicago's "Coolest" New Businesses

Smashing Pumpkins frontman's place found to be unique by Business Insider.

From the City of Highland Park Business Development Newsletter

Madame ZuZu’s Tea House is a 1930’s style Chinese tea house. It was named one of Chicago’s Top 25 Coolest New Businesses. According to Business Insider, it just ranked among some of the best smallest businesses in the area. Madame ZuZu’s was started by Billy Corgan, the frontman of the Smashing Pumpkins. One of the main reasons why it was labeled as “cool” was because during the tea house’s grand opening in 2012, patrons were able to meet Billy Corgan himself and listen to some acoustic sets in a small setting. Today, the shop still operates as a part-time concert venue, where guests can simultaneously catch a show and sample exotic teas.

There is much that goes on at Madame ZuZu’s from creative classes to still life drawing classes along with many of the finest teas from around the world. Make sure you take some time to stop in to the shop, sample some new teas and listen to some amazing talent. To learn more about the tea house, stop on in or peruse their website.
