Is your child struggling with reading?

If your child is struggling with reading there is something you can do to help.  I am a Special Education teacher who has been working with students with learning disabilities and I have been a first-hand witness for the benefit of direct reading instruction.
Orton Gillingham is a multi-sensory program that helps students learn by connecting all different learning pathways- kinesthetic, auditory, and visual.  Everyone learns differently and too often, teachers are relying on only one teaching method for reading instruction. Orton Gillingham is methodical, and teaches students skills necessary to be independent readers and to compensate for, and remediate their challenges.
I have personally seen students improve drastically, once they have been given this form of instruction.
I will be offering tutoring services in Orton Gillingham this summer and the following school year.  Please feel free to look up Orton Gillingham and see the evidence behind its techniques.
If you are interested, please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Have a wonderful summer!
