Join Midwest Young Artists for a Jazz concert on January 18th at 4:00 p.m.
4:00 p.m. IGNITE your IMAGINATION Jazz in January concert & residency with special guest musician (Bennett Gordon Hall, Ravinia Festival)
On January 18th Midwest Young Artists jazz program will present IGNITE your IMAGINATION, Jazz in January at Bennett Gordon Hall in Ravinia. Performing standards from across the world of jazz by the Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra, Jazz Workshop and Big Band, this concert will also feature Matt Wilson, a New York based drummer and Grammy nominee. Heralded as one of jazz’s greatest living legends, Wilson has performed with artists such as Herbie Hancock, Elvis Costello, Wynton Marseilles and Hank Jones, as well as promoting jazz through outreach educational programs.
