Keeping Skies Friendly: Raptor Management at O'Hare

Air traffic control at O'Hare International Airport involves more than just plane movement.

USDA wildlife biologists stationed at the airport are responsible for reducing the presence of wildlife on the airfield to lower the risk of wildlife strikes. This program will describe techniques used to manage raptor populations at O'Hare, including a Red-tailed Hawk tagging and relocation program, as well as habitat management for small mammal populations.
