Last Chance For Photos That 'Capture The Heart Of Highland Park'

Submissions to Highland Park's fourth annual community photo contest are due Friday.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — Time is running out to take part in Highland Park's fourth annual community photo contest. All residents and businesses in town have until Friday to submit entries to the 2019 edition of the Capture the Heart of Highland Park competition.

Photographers are permitted to submit multiple photos. Winners and honorable mentions will be selected in each of six categories, but participants are not required to select a particular category at the time of submission.

  • HP150 — Highlighting the community's "historic beauty" as the the city celebrates its sesquicentential
  • Architectural — Cityscapes, landmarks and design
  • Environmental — Parks, wildlife, open spaces and sustainability
  • Community Life — Arts, culture, volunteering, recreation and celebrations.
  • People Portraits — City-sponsored events, classes and groups
  • Pets of Highland Park — Showcasing some of the most photogenic pets in town

Winning photos will be featured on the city's website, social media and newsletter. Photographers will be honored at an upcoming City Council meeting.

All submissions must include a completed photo release and waiver form. Send photos and the form to cityhp@cityhpil.com by July 26 to be entered in the contest.
