Local Instrument Drive From Highland Park High School

Highland Park High School club holds Instrument Drive to benefit Chicago Elementary School Orchestra

Highland Park High School’s Sister Symphonies club is currently holding an instrument drive at the Music Center of Deerfield, located at 811 Waukegan Rd, Deerfield, IL 60015. All donations will go to the orchestra at the Chopin Elementary School in Chicago and other local programs. The Chicago Public Schools cut the orchestra’s funding by $50,000. The orchestra is also in need of string instruments, cases, music stands, books, strings, rosin, carrying straps and shoulder rests. All donations will be much appreciated.

Sister Symphonies is a club at Highland Park High School that raises money and collects instruments to donate to music programs in need of funding, or who lack instruments locally and abroad. This year they are focusing their efforts on the Chopin Elementary School. Chopin’s orchestra program has recently lost funding and Sister Symphonies is determined to keep the orchestra program strong.
