For over 35 years, the North Shore School of Dance (NSSD) has been a leader in dance education and professional training. Our dedicated faculty provides high-quality instruction in a nurturing, disciplined, and inspiring environment. We strive to educate the mind, body, and soul—honoring the tradition of dance as an art form. At NSSD, we don’t just teach routines—we teach students how to dance. Our training builds confidence, discipline, and lifelong skills Classes are offered in ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, Pre-school dance, Mommy and me, and adult classes.

Proud grandmother of Hannah, Ben, Charlie, Haddie and Jax. Dear sister of Syril (Don) Karel and sister-in-law of Mark Israel and Lee Israel. Lois loved dance, theater, singing, music, being a choreographer, playing canasta with her friends and traveling with Elliott. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend any of us could have asked for. Lois was a wonderful person who was loved by everyone who knew her.
