Man Threatened City Hall Staff: Police

Several computers stolen from store in another call.

The following information was submitted by the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

NO VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE

Jose Vasquez-Solis, 66, North Chicago was arrested at 6:21 p.m. on January 6 and charged with no valid drivers license after police responded to a two car accident near Green Bay Road and Central Avenue.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Juan Bahena-Arcos, 20, North Chicago was arrested at 3:08 a.m. on January 7 and charged with driving under the influence, driving while license suspended, uninsured motor vehicle, open transportation of alcohol and too fast for conditions after police responded to a report of an accident near Lake Cook Road and the Edens Expressway.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Burton Flank, 64, of the 300 block of Temple Avenue, was arrested at 12:22 p.m. on January 7 and charged with disorderly conduct after police investigated a report that Flank had made threatening comments to staff at City Hall in the 1700 block of St. Johns Avenue.

BURGLARY

Patrick Castellanos, 21, Waukegan was arrested at 3:12 p.m. on January 8 and charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of theft after several Apple computers/monitors/keyboards and mouse(s) were stolen from a school in the 2000 block of Sheridan Road, Highland Park on December 27.

THEFT

An i-phone 6 was left accidentally at a business in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road. Upon returning to the location at 4:06 p.m. on January 5, the phone was missing.

THEFT

A plastic bag containing seven trays of various jewelry was reported stolen or misplaced during a move from Highland Park to Skokie on January 4.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

It was reported at 11:08 p.m. on January 5 that unknown subject(s) entered a residence in the 500 block of Onwentsia Avenue sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 11 p.m. No signs of forced entry were located. Two televisions, gold earrings, camera, cell phone, ROKU box and Nintendo games were reported missing.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

It was reported at 8:48 a.m. on January 9 that unknown subject(s) broke the rear window on a Chevrolet Suburban while parked overnight in the 600 block of Walnut Street. Nothing reported missing.
