Patients can access flowers, oils and edibles beginning Wednesday at Elevele.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL - The city’s first medical marijuana facility will open on Wednesday, March 23 in the Briergate Business District.

Elevele, one of three licensed dispensaries in Lake County, will sell marijuana in the form of flowers, oils and infused edibles out of a location at 1460 Old Skokie Road beginning Wednesday, according to the Highland Park News.

The dispensary is owned by a couple from nearby Lake Forest.

The products will only be sold to patients and caregivers with state-issued registry ID cards. Right now, there are 39 conditions that have been approved as reasons to issue a card. They include cancer, glaucoma, Parkinson’s disease and Crohn’s disease.
