Flock Camera Goes Missing: Highland Park Crime Blotter

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following is the most recent crime blotter from the Highland Park Police Department.

BURGLARY

• Residential - Aug. 3 at 2:43 a.m.
  • A resident reported that somebody had broken into their home and taken something. They told police that their side door was open and about $2,800 worth of items were missing.

THEFT

• Retail - Aug. 5 at 4:06 p.m.
  • Staff at the Jewel-Osco located at 1600 Deerfield Road told police that two men took merchandise without paying.
• E-bike - Aug. 6 at 10:15 a.m.
  • A resident told police that their unsecured E-bike was stolen from the Metra Station at 10 St. Johns Ave. The bike is estimated to be worth $850.
• Property - Aug. 7 at 3:08 p.m.
  • Police in the area near Lake Cook Road and Skokie Valley Road noticed a license plate reader camera was missing from a pole.

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT

• Graffiti - Aug. 7 at 1:11 p.m.
  • A resident reported graffiti on the lower level of the Port Clinton Parking Garage located at 601 Laurel Ave.
