The Myra Rubenstein Weis Leadership Board Raises almost $35,000 to Support NorthShore University HealthSystem

The Myra Rubenstein Weis Leadership Board raised almost $35,000 to support NorthShore University Health's breast and ovarian cancer program.

The Myra Rubenstein Weis (MRW) Leadership Board welcomed 350 guests at “Jammin’ in Our Genes” in Highwood in November. The benefit raised almost $35,000 to support NorthShore University HealthSystem’s new Living in the Future (LIFE) Pre-Vivorship workshop, a free program educating individuals diagnosed with BRCA and other breast and ovarian cancer predisposition genes. Sponsored by the MRW Leadership Board, this upcoming workshop explores genetic testing, screening guidelines, surgical options, chemo-prevention, and lifestyle choices.
