New tennis program serves children with Autism
ACEing Autism launches a new tennis program on the North Shore: Volunteers and participants needed.
Last Saturday ACEing Autism launched our North Shore site at College Park Athletic Club (2223 Half Day Rd, Deerfield, IL 60015). This location joined our 35 other sites nationwide. We are excited to have partnered locally with North Shore Pediatric Therapy.
We are looking for participants with an ASD (dx not necessary) as well as volunteers (both adult and child) who are interested in the program. For more information please call or email Vanessa Vogel-Farley (847-780-3900 or Vanessa.V@aceingautism.com).
ACEing Autism, an organization that offers a specialized tennis program geared towards the unique needs of children with ASD, is joining the amazing services that are available to children with Autism on the North Shore. Our progressive program is designed to fully serve the spectrum of the Autism community and the variety and severity of symptoms that so different from that of most other special needs groups. Keeping kids active and using the inherent social nature of tennis are the roots of our program. Our mission is to make the sport of tennis available to children with autism spectrum disorders as a means to enhance health, fitness, hand-eye coordination, motor development and to improve their social skills. And, of course, to make sure kids have fun in the process! www.aceingautism.com
