Noah's Rest 3rd Annual Cocktail Paw-ty Is a Fabulous Success
More than $21,000 raised to help victims of domestic violence leave their abusive situations
On Saturday evening, October 14th, Noah’s Rest, a Lake County based not-for-profit organization, hosted its third annual Cocktail Paw-ty at the Lake Shore Harley Davidson in Libertyville. The benefit, attended by 75 people, raised more than $21,000. The money will be used to assist victims of domestic violence by arranging temporary shelter for their pets, enabling survivors to more easily leave abusive situations.
Guests at the event enjoyed live music performed by Derrick Stout with the Derrick Stout Trio while feasting on gourmet hors d’oeuvres, desserts and liquid libations. They posed for Red Carpet photos with the latest Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and had an opportunity to engage with small animals from the Racine Zoo. A fantastic array of silent auction items was on display, including one-of-a-kind works art and special things for Fido. Hitch and Mitch, the Lake County States Attorney’s dogs who help out at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Lake County were guests at the event as well. A fabulous time was had by all!
