Featured obituary:

Caroline Anne (Freberg) Kelly, 57, daughter of Joyce and the late Harold Freberg, loving wife of Colon Kelly, proud mother of Alexandria and Hanna Woodside, sister of Kathryn, Mark, Scott, Timothy and David Freberg, and beloved by her nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, in laws, cousins, godchildren and friends passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, wrapped in song, storytelling, and love on Aug. 14, 2018.

Caroline was born and raised in Highland Park, IL. She graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelors of the Arts in Industrial Design. She raised her daughters in and around Chicago near her favorite place in the world: Lake Michigan. Before spending the last four years in New Hope, PA, she was a successful marketing manager for a large manufacturing company.

Caroline found the most joy in playing at the beach, spending time with her family and friends, and listening and dancing to music. Always the life of the party (which she was often hosting), Caroline was an authentic, vibrant woman who people were naturally drawn to because of her warm, positive, and giving heart. She was hilarious - seriously. And she was fun. Caroline loved the outdoors. She loved walking, biking, swimming in the ocean, and soaking up the sun. Her creativity was endless and shined in everything she did. Of all her talents and passions, Caroline was most proud of being a wonderful mother.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25th, followed by a memorial service at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Road in Highland Park.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Home of the Sparrow, 969 E Swedesford Rd. Exton, PA 19341, a charity near and dear to Caroline’s heart that provides support to women and children who find themselves homeless.
