Featured Obituary:
Dianne (DeeDee) L. Davis Corwith Hillinger was born on July 1, 1946 and passed away peacefully at her home in Deerfield on January 30, 2021. She was the oldest of the four children- Van Corwith (2016), Debra Frieden, and Marcia Corwith- of Ruth (Bunnie) and Nate Corwith; She attended Highland Park High School and was captain of the basketball team, senior class treasurer, and valedictorian of her graduating class. She was also a wonderful writer and won an award for her work. She majored in Art History at the University of Wisconsin- Madison, and later started a career at TWA in Chicago. In 1969, DeeDee married Wolfgang Hillinger and together they had 11 children. DeeDee was dedicated to her family in all ways, and homeschooled many of her children for several years. She was a committed runner, and ran several marathons, including Chicago and Milwaukee, well into her mid-60s. Throughout her life, DeeDee, a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, was incredibly selfless and giving, helping anyone who was in need, and always putting others first. She loved serving others, and was active in supporting both local and global missions, leading youth groups, and serving in children’s ministry. DeeDee was beautiful soul and gifted in many ways. She loved music, dancing, singing, playing piano, knitting, sewing, reading, animals, gardening, swimming, the beach, sunshine, and being outdoors.Read more from Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home »
