Devlin Arrington, age 16, passed away on Thursday, March 28th in Cambridge, MA, after succumbing to severe trauma to his heart and brain.
Devlin was a beloved son, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend. Devlin is survived by his parents, Brian and Tonia Arrington, his older brother, Terrence, as well as his niece Barbee Wiliams and nephew Carlos Williams.
He was loved, well known and respected in the community. A junior at HPHS, he was a member for three years of the track, soccer, and swim teams, plus had joined Rotary in 2018. He was an Eagle Scout in NEIC, previously with Troop 324 Highland Park.
Devlin loved to travel and had extensive summer experience in Spain, where he worked on his Spanish language fluency. He was constant maker and enjoyed arts and planned to become an engineer. Devlin's foundational values were based upon service to others which he performed during projects and volunteering.
Devlin was a charismatic young man with a bright future, who was loved by so many, who may be grappling with how to help the Arrington family in the face of this heartbreak.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to The Devlin Arrington Memorial Fund. The Arrington family will divide your donations among organizations that embody everything for which he stood, allowing Devlin’s amazing spirit to live on through others.
In addition, his brother, will be developing a service project in Central America under Devlin's name.

Visitation will be Friday, April 5, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the History Center of Lake Forest, 509 E Deerpath Road, Lake Forest.
The memorial service will be Saturday April 6 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 770 Deerfield Avenue, Highland Park.
