NorthShore University HealthSystem Hospitals Continue Holiday Tradition with $50,000 in Donations to Area Charities
NorthShore hospitals: Highland Park, Evanston, Skokie and Glenview have gifted holiday donations to deserving community organizations.
Continuing an annual holiday tradition, NorthShore University HealthSystem has made $50,000 in charitable holiday donations to deserving community organizations on behalf of its employees. Over the past seven years, employees at NorthShore have decided to forgo holiday gifts and instead make donations to charitable organizations in the community.
Each of NorthShore’s four hospitals and the corporate office made donations of $10,000. NorthShore Highland Park Hospital selected as its beneficiary Catholic Charities, which provides food, clothing, shelter and counseling to those in need in Cook and Lake counties without regard to religious, ethnic or economic background.
“This is a wonderful tradition and really represents what the holiday season is all about,” said NorthShore Highland Park Hospital President Jesse Peterson Hall. “NorthShore is happy to support these community partners that provide such vital services.”
