Obituary: Theresa Werhane, 88

Theresa Agnes Werhane peacefully passed away on January 1st, 2018. She was born on August 2nd, 1929 to Pasquale Pace and Giocominia Serpico.

Theresa was the loving wife of 55 years to the late Lorenz Werhane. She was the cherished mother of Lorenz Jr. (Lisa), Charles R. (Katherine) and David M. (Barbara).

Theresa was an adored grandmother of Rebecca, Robert (Brooke), Alex, Amanda Summitt (Jason), Madeleine, Ryan, Veronica and Kendall as well as a great-grandmother to Jake, Katherine Blair, Elizabeth, Starrett Grace and Wyatt.

Theresa is also leaving behind her sister Carmella Meyer and her dear friend Roland “Ron” Schlabowske.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5th from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd. in Highland Park.

A Funeral Mass will follow the visitation at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Church, 134 North Ave., Highwood, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in her name to St. James Parish, or to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
